The event «Presentation of the students experiences and artworks» as part of the “Interreg Youth Roadshow 2022” events was successfully held on Tuesday 8/11/2022. The key persons were the students of the 3rd Junior High School of Charilaou and the 3rd Junior High School of Eleftherio Kordelio, who participated in the workshops “Zero Waste: Schools can” of the program “Zero Waste Strategy: Methods and Implementation in Black Sea Basin – ZeroWasteBSB”. During the event, they had the opportunity to share their messages about the importance of waste production reduction and to make their voices heard in a group of representatives of the European Parliament, the European Commission, the territorial cooperation programs of the European Union, Greek politicians, as well as other people in decision-making positions (decision makers).
The 3rd Junior High School of Harilaou students’ team shared with the audience stories of children from different corners of the earth, who are affected in various ways by the contemporary production and consumption system. They also interacted with the audience via the use of technology and challenged the representatives’ environmental knowledge through an interactive quiz.
The “Waste Band” from the 3rd Junior High School of Eleftherio Kordelio took over and spreathe d fun in the hall by giving an imaginative, interactive musical concert, using musical instruments exclusively made out of useless materials, which would otherwise end up in the trash.
We’d like to warmly thank all the students as well as the teachers: Ms. Kiki Delinassiou (3rd High School of Harilaou), Ms. Mary Dimitrakopoulou and Ms. Elena Chatzikonstantinou (3rd High School of Eleftherio Kordelio) for their unconditional support and wonderful cooperation!
The ‘ZeroWasteBSB’ project was selected along with four other successful European projects to participate in the Interreg Youth Roadshow, which focused on the projects’ activities with young participants. All Partners’ activities, efforts, and achievements have been presented to the decision-makers and will be included in further dissemination actions.
