“Just Go Zero Tilos” is a program that aims to reduce waste in the island of Tilos. The concept is that all waste produced in Tilos is collected and managed in a fully circular way in order to eliminate its environmental footprint. Τhis will be succeeded by training the residents to sort at the source, while the waste is collected door to door. The interesting part is that the program – implemented in a tourist destination – tries to spread the zero waste philosophy not only to its permanent residents but also to occasional visitors. Thus, information is provided to visitors about how to dispose waste during their stay on the island, and appropriate equipment is provided as well.
